Having people in your corner that are just as motivating and inspiring make the journey that much better! My dear friend Courtney of Passionate Woman CS sent me a message the other day, a New Year’s Eve sermon where the pastor discussed what blessings God would bestow on us this new year. Now, if you follow me on social media, you know I’ve been talking for months about how 2017 was a trying year for us all, and how I began to declare greatness over my life in 2018. So to my surprise (not really), the pastor describes this year as one to “Live It Up”, coming up in all aspects of life. Y’all know the come up — it’s like leaving your no-good boyfriend to focus on you, then unexpectedly being blessed with an even better man, better than imaginable. Yeah, that’s a come-up.
This comes from work AND faith. Take the necessary steps, but remember to stay faithful to God and yourself. Rid yourself of that sorrow-filled mindset. Better things are to come… The 2018 Come-Up.
The day before I received this word, I got a major pep talk from my Über driver. Yes, the damn Über driver. As a fellow business individual and entrepreneur, he basically gave me an “Establishing Your Brand 101” rundown. It was like one of those workshops that cost $150 per session, except for free. See, God is so good that He’ll send you messages over and over again, and if you don’t hear Him, He’ll send people who you will listen to. Then, He’ll send confirmation messages just so you know it’s indeed from Him.
I say all this to say even though this world is in such chaos, your life may be crumbling, but continue to push through. Continue to follow your dreams. Sometimes we need a stranger, an unbiased opinion if you will, to remind you what you're doing it for. But through all things, remain faithful to God who will show you the way and provide the path towards the greater things life has to offer. Live a life that is pleasing to Him, and I promise you wont fail.
