I really like this quote! I figured it was appropriate for a number of reasons — September is the month of change and starting new chapters (i.e. school). New beginnings. September is also a month of celebration for me; in fact, today is my birthday!! I’m so happy and blessed to see 24. Young, I know but I feel so old. I feel like I should have my life together and everything should be set. It’s that weird age range where pressure starts to kick in. I mean, I’m basically 25 which means I’m already 30.
To avoid stress and being overwhelmed, I’ve been talking to me a lot, sorting through my thoughts and figuring out next steps. Last week I told myself that I was over making excuses. No more self-sabotage and dilly-dallying. No more finding reasons to avoid what I SHOULD be taking care of. Since then, my productivity levels have been at an all-time high and I love it. Not to mention, the support I’m receiving from those closest to me are great, and I just want to thank you all! Starting this new chapter in my life, I’m committed to only participating in things that are conducive to my health and wealth, both directly and indirectly. This new chapter is dedicated to growth and prosperity. This new chapter is dedicated to family and friends. This new chapter is dedicated to love. All things I was afraid to do in 23, I’m conquering in 24. I’m coming in strong and applying pressure. Expect my foot to be on necks all 24. Last month was focused on new beginnings; it was the month of "congratulations" and promotions. As the prelude to this new chapter I'm about to embark on, it helped to put me in a winning mindset. Overtime, things pay off whether you realize what you're doing it for or not.
The beauty on the horizon comes from seeing your vision, putting in the work, and as a result, greatness comes from it. If you have a vision for yourself, please work towards it. Let that be your birthday gift to me. Push yourself to be great and make your dreams come true. Let my 24th year be a prosperous one from us all! I look forward to seeing what this year brings for us all.
