Looking Like A Bag of Money Whilst Conserving the Bag

Picture
Anyone who truly knows me knows I love to be dressed. Okay, perfect example: You know the friend that's always overdressed for the event, even if it's a little kickback? Yup *raises hand* .. that's me! Loud and proud. I get it from my father, I can't help it!

I especially love cold weather accessories, making Fall and Winter my favorite seasons simply because of the fashion. It's the perfect excuse to be dramatic (since Drama is my middle name) and add on pieces that you otherwise wouldn't have a chance to. Being from New York, it's a glorified couple seasons, especially with Fashion Week guests and events setting the tone early in September. I've appreciated great outerwear the older I got, because it's an opportunity to have fun and look good while doing it.
I can't tell you how many people stared at me as I was casually walking through the streets of Atlanta yesterday, especially on the MARTA.. it's like you look like you have money but you're on public transportation... hmm.. The people in the city are so relaxed that it's almost over the top *smirks*. Sometimes people underestimate the power of an amazing jacket. You can have the most simple ensemble - throw on a faux fur and your look changes instantly.

The concept for yesterday's outfit defines that; it's what I like to call keeping it cas(ual). I wore a basic turtleneck and jeans, layered with an oversized denim jacket with a multi/neutral-colored faux fur to complete the look. Was I cold? Hell yea, it's been less than 30 degrees in Atlanta! However, beauty is pain and I looked damn good while freezing. Together, my outfit was relatively inexpensive, but that's not what's perceived. In other words, get chu a fur this Winter!
